The game uses a horizontal perspective of the ring and has multiple different modes based on events from the TV show: One-on-One, Tag Team, Bedlam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble and Raw Endurance. Depending on the system, the player has a roster of up to thirteen WWF wrestlers to choose from. WWF Raw is probably one of the best wrestling games I've seen for the 16-bit platform, and while I personally don't go in for this type of button-smashing fest, the presentation is well done. Acclaim couldn't have picked a better vehicle for a no-holds-barred, hit-'em-on-the-head-with-a-chair Royal Rumble of a beat-'em up.
